Well, well, well. I started a business to spite the haters.

Let me take you back to the Great Mother's Day Threads Debate of 2026. During this absolute fever dream, a certain type of mother made it their absolute mission to police who can and can't celebrate maternal care. And because I love to call people on their bullshit, especially when it's as ridiculous as this was, I thought...let's really get under their skin with this one.

Now what would this spiteful little brand be without an equally unhinged name? Enter goose. goose is named for my dog, Lucy, whom I have affectionately called Goose since my mom adopted her in 2022. Lucy was adopted from Manitoba Underdogs in Winnipeg, MB and came to live with me after my mom passed away in 2024. She was a puppy mill mama who birthed far more than her fair share of babies before being surrendered to rescue. She has the worst separation anxiety I've ever seen, yet is somehow also the bossiest and most difficult to please dog on earth. She loves to swim almost as much as she loves to eat. She hates when her (dog) brother tries to play with her, but also hates to be away from him. She is incredibly sweet and obnoxiously stubborn. Girl is complicated in a way I have never experienced with any dog I've ever known. And honestly...I wouldn't change a thing about her. She has taught me so much about patience, and commitment, and unconditional love. And for that, I will forever be grateful.

But there's also a bit more to the name goose. Geese are assholes. They will quite literally attack you for looking at them the wrong way. I have seen it happen. More than once. But they are also beautiful. And intelligent. And matriarchal. Geese are communal. They migrate together and nest in the same places, year after year after year. They share in the responsibilities of raising their young. They have also been known to adopt other species of orphaned waterfowl, caring for these little ones as if they were their own. We could learn a lot from these remarkable birds. They are fierce and unwielding. They are graceful and protective. They embody everything it means to live as a village.

Geese also have a longstanding reputation for silliness. And I am just about as silly as they come.

goose is here for the pop culture fanatics, the witchy rapscallions, the dog moms, the cat servants--whoever you are and however you identify. The folks who nurture living things regardless of species. The people who pour love into all creatures. This brand is for everyone who's ever thought, "that would be great on a piece of merch." And it's for anyone who resonates with our particular style of sass. May we annoy the hell out of the gatekeepers, one t-shirt at a time.
